Zakat ul Fitr - £5 per head
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
The fasting of the month of fasting will be hanging between earth and heavens and it will not be raised up to the Divine Presence without paying the Zakat al-Fitr.
Zakat ul Fitr is compulsory on all Muslims regardless of age or financial standing. The only exemption is for those who do not have one sa' (approximately 2.6 - 3kg) of their staple food in excess of their needs. It is a token of thankfulness to Allah for having enabled him or her to observe the obligatory fast. Islam Freedom feeds the orphans, needy and extreme poverty. View snapshots: Ramadan photos
